Gastropexy/Stomach Tacking

Gastropexy, also known as stomach tacking, is a surgical procedure performed on dogs to prevent gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), commonly referred to as bloat. GDV is a serious and life-threatening condition where the stomach fills with gas and twists upon itself, cutting off blood flow and leading to severe health complications or death if not promptly treated.
